MEDIA EDUCATION courses discuss and explore changes in values, attitudes and behaviour due to the global media environment. Lectures and workshops enable consumers to become critical, appreciative and discriminative users of the media.

COMMUNICATION TALKS address issues related to communications and media, especially new communication technologies and their implications.

CINEMA FORUMS present basic tools for 'reading' and understanding films through the cinematic and television experience. Values, themes, symbols, techniques and other elements of movies are explored and discussed.

COMMUNICATION SKILL workshops provide hands-on training in photography, interpersonal and group communications, audio-visual techniques, newsletters, posters, computer software, graphic design, audio and video productions.

AUDIO & VIDEO DIGITAL STUDIO
State-of-the-art recording studio with professional audio and vide digital equipment.

AUDIO facilities include composing, final mix, vocals, live band, track and minus-one recording, remix, theme songs, voice-overs, jingles, soundtrack for drama and documentaries, music, special effects, audio mastering, CD and cassette duplication.

VIDEO facilities include shooting on digital video camera, edit/mix on Apple MAC FCP software, programme concept, scripting, soundtrack, special effects and final packaging.

LIBRARY
A complete range of media resources in various languages, such as Communication & Media Literature, Catholic /Christian Educational Social Documentaries, Dramas and Movie Classics. These are available in various formats including Audio Cassettes, Videos, VCDs, DVDs and CDs.

EQUIPMENT
A good range of audio visual equipment is available for rent from Cahayasuara. These include:

- PA System

TECHNICAL SERVICE
We provide the following services:

Cahayasuara Resources (formerly known as Kedai Katolik) distributes Catholic materials including local and imported audio-videos, books, religious articles, gifts, greeting cards, etc.
Sales Hours: Tues - Sat (10am - 6pm), Sun (9am - 2pm). Closed on Mondays & Public Holidays
