NOVEL WAY OF BRINGING YOUTHS TOGETHER
|
Klang : The youths of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes have come up with a novel way to bring young people together: organising a Nasi Lemak Nite. Organised by the Our Lady of Lourdes Youth Movement the Nasi Lemak Nite which was held on July 19 brought together about 80 youths from different cultures and backgrounds. The gathering began with a food presentation where a few youths dressed in sarong and songket danced traditional Malay dance steps to a modern English song before serving the Nasi Lemak. This was followed by a short sketch themed Life is God's gift to us and what we do with our life is our gift back to God, which was presented by the organising committee. The session left a deep impact on the young ones as they realised God's love and how they can make use of their talents to serve God and the community.
